How therapy works here (our approach)

Therapy should feel safe—but also productive. Our approach is:

  • Trauma-informed (we consider nervous system load and safety)

  • Skills-based (tools you can use between sessions)

  • Collaborative and structured (clear focus and measurable progress)

  • Supportive and direct (warm, honest feedback when it helps)

Depending on your needs, sessions may include psychoeducation, coping skills, emotion regulation tools, communication strategies, and trauma-informed interventions.

What to expect (step-by-step)

Step 1: Book your first appointment (60 minutes)
We’ll start with what’s been hardest recently and what you want to change.

Step 2: Clarify goals + treatment focus
We identify what’s keeping the problem going, what’s getting in the way, and what progress would look like.

Step 3: Build skills and apply them in real life
You’ll leave sessions with practical strategies and a simple between-session plan.

Step 4: Adjust as you improve
As symptoms stabilize, we shift toward maintenance, deeper processing, or spaced-out sessions as appropriate.

What happens in the first session (60 minutes)

Your first session is focused on creating clarity and momentum—without pressure to tell your entire life story.

We will:

  • Identify what brought you in right now and what feels most urgent

  • Clarify what you want to be different (sleep, stress, mood, relationships, functioning)

  • Review relevant history and patterns that may be keeping symptoms going

  • Discuss what’s helped before—and what hasn’t

  • Create an initial plan for treatment focus and next steps

  • Leave you with at least one practical tool or strategy to start using immediately

If you’re not sure where to start, that’s okay. We’ll guide the process and move at a pace that feels safe and productive.

What you’ll leave with

  • A clearer understanding of what you’re working on and why

  • Practical tools to use between sessions

  • A plan to reduce symptoms and improve daily functioning

Increased confidence, emotional regulation, and healthier boundaries over time

Fees (Private Pay)
